Car Nuggets are a celebration of contemporary, consumer surface and form. They use the metaphor of a popular fast food as a kind of reference to their compromised status; the sculptures operate in a space which is impure. They look for beauty in a world that is very problematic; it is polluted, destructive and unequal. With their smooth undulating planes and glossy paint jobs, Car Nuggets try to see the good in the world while still acknowledging the bad.
